A support organization in Scotland is seeking a compassionate individual to provide one-to-one support for an autistic teen. The role involves helping the teen engage in community activities, promoting independence, and assisting with social interactions. Flexibility in hours, including availability for school pick-up, is essential. Suitable for candidates interested in physical activities and neurodivergence. Training related to autism support will be provided.
(Mileage allowance also available for trips out – must be a car driver)
15 x hours per week
10 x sleepovers annually (15 hours + sleepover rate per night)
These hours may include weekends on occasion; flexibility is required as is availability for school pick up on Thursday.
To provide one to one support for an autistic teen who is extremely active and enjoys regular trips out and about in and around Aberdeenshire (in the car). Also provide support during his regular volunteering work in his local community and activities such as 3D printing, his weekly Gym sessions amongst other activities. Help and support with making him feel included in his community by providing support with such things as social communication and social interaction whilst promoting his independence, dignity, and choice.

(Autism Specific Training (to the teen) will be available from the Employer)
Membership of the PVG Scheme will be required .
