Job summary

A leading healthcare organization in the UK is looking for a Locum Consultant Neuropsychiatrist for a fixed term of 12 months. The role involves running a weekly clinic at the Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy and may include reviewing inpatients admitted under Consultant Neurologists. The ideal candidate should have significant neuropsychiatric experience, knowledge of the NHS, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £109,725 to £145,478 annually.

Qualifications

  • Considerable neuropsychiatric experience with patients having epilepsy.
  • Completed a period of training and experience in Neuropsychiatry.
  • Higher trainee experience or consultant experience in a recognized neuropsychiatric post.

Responsibilities

  • Running a specialist weekly clinic at the Chalfont Specialist Centre for Epilepsy.
  • Contribute to research, teaching, and clinical governance activities.
  • Review inpatients in the telemetry unit or on the ward as needed.

Skills

Experience in assessing and treating patients with functional neurological symptoms
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, nurses, GPs and other agencies
Demonstrate ability to meet Trust Values of safety, kindness, teamwork and improving

On GMC Specialist List in Psychiatry
Eligible for Full UK GMC Registration
