Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is looking for a Locum Consultant in Congenital Cardiac Surgery. The role involves managing patients of all ages and performing surgical procedures independently. Candidates must hold GMC registration and have accreditation for higher specialist training. Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff and developing clinical services in a multidisciplinary environment. Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration and licence to practice required.
• Fully Accredited for Higher Specialist Training in Congenital Cardiac Surgery.
• Knowledge of managing ECMO patients and cannulation techniques.
• Experience in Paediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Undertake both simple and complex congenital cardiac procedures independently.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences.
• Mentor junior medical staff.
• Develop teaching in conjunction with the University of Leicester.
