Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Farnborough seeks a Line Station Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance on business aircraft. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in line maintenance, hold an A License, and possess knowledge of relevant regulations such as Part-145. Responsibilities include adhering to maintenance procedures, identifying defective components, and maintaining safety standards. A valid UK Driving License is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate recent experience in a line maintenance environment for at least 6 months.
• Hold a valid UK Driving License for airside driving.
• Knowledge of mechanisms such as EWIS and CDCCL.

Line Station Aircraft Mechanic- Farnborough

Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Adhere to Bombardier’s Maintenance Organization Procedures, among which the relevant parts of the MOE and applicable work instructions.
• Comply with Environmental / Health / Safety policies and procedures. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner.
• Perform and document work performed per appropriate and approved maintenance data (e.g. aircraft maintenance manuals).
• Identify defective aircraft components using the Company’s Internal Procedure.
• Order parts in SAP.
• Carry out maintenance tasks to the standard specified in the Maintenance Data under supervision of Certifying Staff/Support Staff, and notify supervisors of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards.
• Properly process removed, uninstalled and rejected parts.
• Correct defects under supervision of Certifying Staff/Support Staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure to uphold Bombardier values.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have the ability to demonstrate recent experience in a line maintenance environment, ideally within the last 3 years and for a minimum period of 6 months.
• You have recent experience working on business aircrafts.
• You hold an A License.
• You have basic understanding of the requirements of Appendix I to Part-66.
• You have good knowledge of Part-145.
• You have knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
• You have knowledge of, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations.
• You have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings.
• You have the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task status.
• You have the ability to use standard tools, special tools and to operate ground support equipment.
• You have the ability to identify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions.
• You have experience understanding critical tasks.
• You have basic PC skills.
• You must hold a valid UK Driving License as this role will require you to drive airside.
