Overview

Our client is seeking Legislative Assistants.

Responsibilities

Legislative Assistants support Senators’ offices and committees, with core duties in three main areas:

  • Policy/Committee: Conduct research, analyze legislation, track bills, coordinate public hearings, and handle constituent inquiries.
  • Administration: Manage office operations (phones, email, files), draft correspondence and newsletters, respond to constituents, and assist with scheduling/data entry.
  • Communications: Create and manage social media content, draft press releases, monitor media, and assist at events.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
