Lecturer A – Carpentry & Joinery

Salary: £31,200 to £34,715 per annum (Market Forces may allow up to £43,656 per annum + £2,500 Golden Hello Payment). 37 hours per week.

Bolton College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Lecturer A with industry / subject specialist knowledge to deliver high quality teaching within our Carpentry & Joinery provision.

Qualifications
  • Qualified to Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
  • Level 2 Maths and English qualifications
  • Experience in the delivery of Carpentry & Joinery programmes
  • Experience of assessing students at Levels 2 & 3 in Carpentry & Joinery
  • Knowledge of the apprenticeship standards and experience in preparing Carpentry apprentices for end-point assessment
Responsibilities
  • To deliver high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
  • To support the Head of Department on curriculum and course development.
  • To take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
  • Develop resources, support teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
  • To support the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
  • As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
