Job description

This is more than a leasing role. It’s an opportunity to shape the success of a flagship Build to Rent residential community in Sheffield and play a key part in creating homes residents genuinely love.

As Leasing Manager, you’ll take ownership of the full leasing journey, from first enquiry through to move-in and renewal. You’ll balance commercial performance with service excellence, driving occupancy while ensuring every interaction is intentional, personal, and people-first.

This role suits a confident, engaging professional who understands that great leasing is about trust, clarity, and connection, not just conversions.

The Role
Leasing Leadership
  • Own and oversee the end-to-end leasing process, including enquiries, viewings, applications, handovers, and renewals.

  • Implement and deliver leasing strategies that maximise occupancy, retention, and rental performance.

  • Manage and report on key performance metrics such as enquiry response times, conversion rates, and lease renewals.

  • Deliver professional, engaging viewings both in-person and virtually.

  • Build strong, purposeful relationships with prospective residents, ensuring every interaction reflects the brand’s values and standards.

Marketing & Brand Alignment
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on targeted campaigns and content to attract and retain residents.

  • Support the design, presentation, and promotion of show apartments to ensure they tell a consistent story and reflect brand quality.

  • Ensure all advertising, communications, and on-site presentation align with brand tone, values, and positioning.

  • Act as the on-site brand ambassador: professional, approachable, and resident-focused at all times.

  • Build meaningful local partnerships that enhance the building’s profile, reputation, and sense of community.

Resident Experience & Community
  • Partner with resident experience and operations teams to deliver seamless, memorable move-in experiences.

  • Build lasting relationships with residents through genuine, consistent engagement.

  • Capture and respond proactively to feedback, using insight to enhance the resident journey.

  • Support resident events and initiatives that encourage wellbeing, connection, and belonging.

  • Champion a culture where residents feel seen, supported, and valued.

Operational Excellence
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure apartments are compliant, ready, and presented to a consistently high standard.

  • Support on-site teams with leasing best practice, training, and process improvement.

  • Maintain accurate CRM data, reporting, and forecasting to inform decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance, safety, and presentation standards are upheld throughout the leasing journey.

About You
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in leasing, lettings, or residential property management (Build to Rent or PBSA preferred).

  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding occupancy and revenue targets.

  • A confident communicator who builds trust and rapport naturally.

  • Skilled at handling objections with empathy and purpose, turning challenges into opportunities.

  • Commercially aware with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable using CRM systems and data to track and improve performance.

  • Calm under pressure, professional in approach, and highly attentive to detail.

  • Passionate about creating community and delivering service with intention.
