Pay Range: Actual Pro Rata Salary £17,916 - £19,862

Position Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Full-time Permanent

Working Pattern: Part Time, 17.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 11.15am - 2.45pm

Responsibilities
  • Strong, enthusiastic, committed and creative classroom-based Learning Support Assistant.
  • Work flexibly taking direction from the class teachers and SENCo in adapting and planning activities to take students' learning forward.
  • Provide small group provision and intervention for SEND pupils.
  • Support the emotional and social development of the young people.
  • Carry out and write up necessary observations to inform and evaluate the child's needs.
  • Proactive in dealing with students and identifying groups or individuals who may be falling behind in their learning.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is essential.
  • Good standard of education; Maths and English GCSE grades A - C, or equivalent.
  • Excellent classroom support in literacy, numeracy and behavioural needs.
  • Good organisation and inter-personal skills.
  • Good knowledge of ICT.
  • Committed to high achievement from students and themselves.
