Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Northampton
Salary: £110 - £120 per day, dependant on experience

Overview

Spencer Clarke Group are working closely with a national group of independent, alternative education settings who support children with social, emotional and mental health needs aged 11-16. Across their 13 sites, they aspire to innovate, influence, and inspire others through high-quality and purposeful education and training.

Their site in Northampton are on the lookout for dynamic and creative teaching assistants who can inspire and support secondary age pupils in a non-mainstream learning environment.

Role Summary

The successful applicant will be passionate about fostering a love for learning, embracing diversity, and encouraging students to think beyond the traditional. The school accommodate approximately 35 pupils to ensure we offer ample opportunities for children who require a nurturing, encouraging, and supportive environment, particularly those preparing to reintegrate into a mainstream setting.

  • Qualification: GCSEs in Maths and English C or 4 grade and above (or an equivalent)
  • Knowledge: Have an understanding of alternative provision and dealing with bango with students with special needs.
  • Experience: Working%; within an education setting or equivalent.
  • Communication: Professional communication with students and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
