A local educational institution in Bracknell is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support the learning of pupils aged 4 to 11. This temporary position requires strong communication skills and prior experience in a school setting, with a focus on creating an engaging learning environment. Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in English and Maths. The role involves direct support, supervision of play, and engagement with children who have special needs. BF K3 - £13.22 (inc. LW) per hour (pay award pending)
School day: 8.45am - 3.30pm 30 hours with a 15 minute break and 30 minutes for lunch
This post is offered on a fixed term basis to 31st August 2026. The main purpose of the position is to work with our pupils aged 4 to 11. The role will involve working directly with individual children, small groups of young people in order to support their learning and to supervise their play.
Whitegrove Primary School is a large, over-subscribed school in north east Bracknell, where excellence and enjoyment are at the heart of the school’s ethos. We have strong links with the local community and have excellent support from our parents. Our children are well-behaved and eager to learn. We were rated as a ‘good’ school in our most recent Ofsted (March 2022).
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication skills to join our team. Applicants should ideally have some prior experience of working in a school and have GCSEs in English and Maths as a minimum qualification as LSAs in our school are a vital part of teaching and learning. We are also keen to encourage applications from people who may be interested in training as a teacher in the future and would like to gain some invaluable experience as a LSA.However above all we are looking for applicants who are interested in creating a stimulating learning environment for our children and are motivated to encourage a love of learning. All roles will include working with children who have SEN or other additional needs. An interest in any of the following: early years, phonics, autism, speech and language.
