Job summary

A leading electricity firm in Derby is seeking a Senior Substation Civil Design Engineer to join their Transmission Design Team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the Power Transmission & Distribution sector, a B.Eng or BSc in a relevant engineering field, and the ability to produce effective substation designs. This role involves contributing to design support for contracts across the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the Power Transmission & Distribution sector or similar.
• Considerable knowledge of National Grid specifications and British Standards.
• HND plus relevant experience in civil and structural substation design.

Responsibilities

• Produce effective substation civil designs.
• Support design on contracts for various UK DNOs.
• Be part of the Transmission Design Team.
