Job summary

A leading engineering company based in Sheffield is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead technical projects and develop innovative construction solutions. The successful candidate will hold an MEng degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and be a Chartered Engineer. This role requires proficiency in 3D CAD and strong problem-solving skills as you work on multiple projects, ensuring quality and consistency in designs.

Qualifications

• Qualified to MEng degree (or BEng and Masters) in Civil/Structural engineering.
• Chartered Structural Engineer with ICE or IStructE (or actively working towards accreditation).
• Demonstrable practical manufacturing or assembly experience.

Responsibilities

• Acting as technical lead on projects large and small.
• Liaising with and leading other members of the design team.
• Undertaking analysis and design using a range of software packages.
• Ensuring that quality and consistency of technical output is maintained.
• Preparing high quality technical reports and calculations to support sign-off.
