Lead Digital Engineer (BIM)

As a Lead Digital Engineer, you'll play a key role in bringing that vision to life. What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading digital engineering across the entire project journey — design through to handover.
  • Encouraging and empowering colleagues through coaching, training and supportive leadership.
  • Managing the BIM model and ensuring we meet client and LOR digital standards.
  • Creating strong, respectful working relationships with consultants, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Supporting design teams and subcontractors to deliver accurate, thoughtful 3D modelling.
  • Championing innovation, continuous improvement and smarter digital solutions.
  • Ensuring good governance, quality assurance and clear digital reporting.
  • Bringing fresh thinking and helping shape a positive digital culture across the project.
About You

You're someone who enjoys collaboration, communicates clearly and brings people together. You care about quality, you think ahead, and you take pride in helping others grow.

Essential:

  • A supportive communicator who enjoys working as part of a diverse team.
  • Comfortable teaching, guiding or mentoring others to build digital confidence.
  • Understanding of engineering, design, manufacturing or construction processes.
  • Degree‑qualified (or with meaningful equivalent experience).
  • Approx. 5 years' experience in construction and BIM/3D digital technologies.
  • Strong user of Revit, Navisworks, ACC Suite and familiar with ISO 19650.
  • Skilled in 3D modelling, drawing production and structured data management.
  • Confident working site‑based and making informed decisions independently.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Dynamo, Python or Power Automate.
  • Familiar with Solibri, Trimble Connect, Lumion, Twinmotion, Power BI or Bentley tools.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring or leading others.
  • Recognised BIM qualification or certification.

This Heathrow‑based role will work closely with the project delivery team from the earliest stages through to completion — putting digital engineering at the heart of how we deliver a major aviation project.
