A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a professional for a pharmacy lead role to support clinical pharmacy services. Responsibilities include ensuring safe medication usage, training technicians, and dispensing prescriptions. The post holder will support the Pharmaceutical Service and the Medicines Management agenda in the UHB. They will be responsible for:
The post holder will sit on the Medicines Management panel, assisting in the training and assessing of technicians, trainee pharmacists and new pharmacists in the process of ward-based working, including medicines reconciliation and discharge process. In addition, they will support others in developing clinical prioritisation skills.
The post holder will dispense, undertake technical check and issues prescriptions, providing specialist advice and information on medicines to patients, relatives, carers and nursing staff.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This does not mean essential; while the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short‑listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t fluency, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
