A leading environmental engineering firm is seeking a Landscape Architect to join their Nature-Based Infrastructure design team. The role includes designing sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and contributing to projects that enhance biodiversity and climate resilience. Candidates should have a degree in Landscape Architecture and strong skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite. Our portfolio includes marquee SuDS retrofit pilot projects in London and Dublin, alongside large-scale nature-based flood management schemes. We are also leading the development of nature-based Stormwater Management Strategies shaping future growth and resilience at county and city levels across Ireland.
Our multi-disciplinary team of engineers, landscape architects, hydrologists and environmental scientists who work together as a closeknit team to deliver projects that integrate technical rigour, ecological value, and outstanding design quality.
We are inviting applications from creative and technically capable Landscape Architects to join our growing Nature-Based Infrastructure design team, specialising in SuDS. This is a unique opportunity to work at the interface between landscape architecture, water management, and climate resilience – designing multi-functional landscapes that manage rainfall naturally and enhance opportunities for biodiversity and placemaking.
The position can be based in Derry, Belfast, or remotely anywhere in UK / Ireland (depending on level of existing experience), with hybrid and flexible working available.
You will work alongside our Senior Landscape Architect and a team of hydrologists, engineers, and environmental scientists to deliver innovative rainscape, SuDS retrofit, and nature-based flood management projects.
McCloy Consulting is recognised as a sector leader in SuDS, natural flood management (NFM), and blue–green infrastructure design. We welcome applications from Landscape Architects seeking to apply their design and spatial skills to the growing field of climate-adaptive and water-sensitive design. Comprehensive training and professional development support will be provided.
Schedule: Monday to Friday / flexible by agreement
