We’re seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead a busy analytical team in Newcastle. This role is central to delivering high‑quality asbestos testing, environmental analysis, and driving innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and inspire a team of 10+ laboratory staff
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and UKAS standards
• Oversee workflow, sample preparation, and analytical procedures
• Deliver accurate results on time to meet client expectations
• Drive improvements in performance, customer service, and technical capability

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in asbestos testing or chemistry labs
• Proven leadership managing teams of 10+ staff
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 and quality systems
• Experience with UKAS audits and accreditation processes
• Budget and resource management expertise
• Desirable: RSPH Level 4 Certificate and experience developing new laboratory methods
