Are you practical, curious, and ready to apply your scientific or laboratory skills in a real-world manufacturing environment? If you’re educated to A-Level science (or equivalent) or have hands‑on industrial laboratory experience, and bring a positive, can‑do attitude, we’d love to hear from you.

We are seeking a Lab Analyst to join our analytical laboratory team, working closely with production and technical teams to ensure quality across our float, coated and laminated glass manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform a range of tests on raw materials (e.g. cullet and sand) and finished glass products
  • Conduct float glass and laminate testing, including:
    • Glass chemistry testing (using XRF and other techniques)
    • UV and energy transmission measurements
    • Stress analysis and defect identification (20–30 samples per day)
    • Humidity testing
  • Ensure critical float line testing is completed by 8:00am for daily production meetings
  • Work closely with technical and production teams to maintain quality and resolve issues
  • Operate in a laboratory environment closely linked to manufacturing processes
