About the role:

We are currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant.

Trem y Mor supports individuals with complex disabilities; it is a purpose built 16 bedroom respite unit and day service. The service is in an enviable position on the Aberavon promenade with uninterrupted views of the sea.

The Hospitality team consists of 5 people, working together to provide high quality meals for the individuals that access the service.

As a Kitchen assistant, you will work part of a team and be able to work in accordance with the agreed schedule. Comply with food safety regulations and maintain high standards.

You will be expected to contribute to the smooth running of the service and maintain hygienic conditions within the kitchen and undertake kitchen duties such as:

  • Assisting the cook in preparation of high-quality meals
  • Washing up
  • Cleaning the kitchen and equipment
  • Serving meals
  • Preparation of simple varied meals

There are no formal qualifications required for this post; training will be provided.
