› › Kent Cricket: Commercial Assistant (Deadline – Jan 9)Location:The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, Canterbury, United Kingdom### Description**JOB TITLE:** Commercial Assistant **REPORTS TO:** Membership and Sales Manager, Chief Commercial Officer **CONTRACT:** Full time **SALARY:** £24,000 **BASED AT:** The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, Canterbury (with occasional travel)**Summary of Role:** The successful candidate will work in the Commercial Department and will assist in all aspects of Commercial Operations, with particular focus on Customer Service and sales support being the first point of contact for supporters as well as completing a variety of backoffice tasks across all department functions. They will provide excellent customer service to supporters and administrative support across Commercial Operations.**Other Details:** Normal working hours will be 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (inclusive), including one-hour unpaid lunch on each day worked. The post holder will be based at The Spitfire Ground, St. Lawrence but travel to The County Ground, Beckenham may be required to assist on match days. Due to the nature of the work, the post holder will carry out his/her/their duties as such times/days which are most effective to perform the tasks required. This may involve some out of hours work – evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays, as necessary.**Background:** Kent Cricket is one of only 18 first-class county cricket clubs in England and Wales. More importantly, creating an environment where everyone, from any background, can do their best work, is the right thing to do and we therefore encourage applicants from diverse areas to apply.**Principal Duties & Responsibilities:** **Customer Service** • Provide excellent customer service to supporters either face-to-face, over the telephone or by email • Manage high volumes of general enquires regarding seating, pricing, stadium policies and event details • Refer enquiries to relevant departments as required • Provide customers with accurate ticketing, Membership and matchday information • Handle and resolve customer complaints with care and professionalism in line with Kent Cricket procedures, escalating as required • Deliver customer service in line with customer service procedures, including use of CRM software to record enquiries and LLM software for email writing**Sales Support** • Handle advance ticket and Membership sales enquiries and fulfil orders using online ticketing software • Deliver Box Office operations on matchdays, fulfilling in-person orders using ticketing software and reconciling cash and card payments • Duties associated with fulfilment of Membership orders including card printing and postage of products**Administrative Duties** • Provide general administrative support for matchday and event ticketing and sales, including maintaining ticketing records, managing internal ticket reporting processes and completing essential tasks in the back-end of the ticketing platform • Maintain CRM system, databases, and commercial records • Show attention to detail and a high level of care, when undertaking and delivering all administrative duties ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and time-keeping**Additional Responsibilities** • Support the Retail Manager when needed with fulfilling retail orders from online orders and in-person sales and managing retail processes in his absence • Support with set-up and management of hospitality on Matchdays and Events as required • Support the wider commercial team in achieving department targets and delivering strategic objectives • Support the Chief Commercial Officer in the management and activation of sponsor and partner agreements • Deliver high-quality servicing for commercial partners, ensuring contractual rights are fulfilled and value is maximised *This job profile is not an exhaustive list of all job responsibilities, tasks and duties.***Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes:** • Educated to A-Level or equivalent level • Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills • Administrative and Customer Service experience preferred, but not essential • Clear communication skills and a strong command of the English language (Fluency in English, written and spoken) • Strong attention to detail • Ability to work within a team and to contribute to the overall success of the Club. • Multitasking skills and good organisational abilities • A desire to deliver first-class customer service • An ability to build strong working relationships**How To Apply:** Please submit your CV and a short (maximum 150 words) statement of support stating why you are the ideal candidate for the role by emailing jobs@kentcricket.co.uk with a subject heading of “Commercial Assistant”.The deadline for applications is 23:59 Friday 9th January 2026, with interviews to take place week commencing 19th January 2026.**Safeguarding Statement:** Kent Cricket is committed to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and adults in cricket and we expect all employees to share this commitment.
