Qualifications

  • Degree (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related subject.
  • Strong Excel, Word, and database skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and teamwork.
  • Full UK clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with cost controls on projects and supporting site teams.
  • Helping prepare monthly CVR and forecast reports.
  • Supporting the reconciliation of project costs and values.
  • Assisting with quotations, valuations, and compensation events.
  • Helping prepare pricing for maintenance contract works.
  • Supporting subcontractor supply chain management.
  • Attending internal and external meetings to gain exposure to project delivery.

The general hours of work are 42 hours per week, with travel required for attending sites and meetings.

About the role

We’re seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Leyland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the start of their career to learn from experienced colleagues and develop their skills in a supportive environment.

What will your role include:
  • Assisting with cost controls on projects and supporting site teams.
  • Helping prepare monthly CVR and forecast reports.
  • Supporting the reconciliation of project costs and values.
  • Assisting with quotations, valuations, and compensation events.
  • Helping prepare pricing for maintenance contract works.
  • Supporting subcontractor supply chain management, including issuing orders and processing payments.
  • Attending internal and external meetings (virtual and in-person) to gain exposure to project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Degree (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related subject.
  • Strong Excel, Word, and database skills.
  • The right to work in the UK unsponsored
  • Self-motivated, organised, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and teamwork.
  • Full UK clean driving licence.
What else looks good:
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts or Cemar would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.
