About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Land Surveyor to join our growing team, with exciting opportunities to work on some of the largest UK construction projects. We're looking for someone who is purpose-driven, collaborative, adaptable, and safety-conscious - someone who wants to make a real impact in keeping the water running and the lights on for towns and cities across the UK.

Your role will include a mixture of site and office-based work as part of a team delivering modern survey solutions using cutting-edge technology. Our experienced team members will offer mentoring and support tailored to your development needs, helping you grow within our rapidly expanding business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total stations, GNSS and data collectors
  • Set out for different trades in construction projects
  • Establish survey controls, setting out gridlines, levelling, traversing and other land surveying work
  • Resolve any unexpected site issues with help from the team and management as required
  • Accurately and consistently record surveying information on site to the agreed specification and scope
  • Process data from the field into the office, post processing with software such as AutoCAD
  • Assist with detailed field and office surveying assignments
  • Check the quality of information collected on site and ensure successful transition to deliverables
  • Ensure that all survey kit is maintained and well kept
  • Deliver to company policies, procedures, standards and best practices
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential Requirements
  • Surveying experience
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Flexibility to travel to sites nationwide
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team and deal with clients on site
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with all levels of stakeholders
  • Adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment that changes quickly
  • Strong work ethic with ability to prioritise workloads effectively
Desirable
  • RICS/ICES Qualified
  • UAV/Drone Experience
  • University degree in survey related field
  • CSCS Card holder (this will be required before starting work)
  • N4CE experience or software knowledge
  • Laser Scanning Experience with point cloud registration & BIM workflows
  • Monitoring Experience
