Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Sales Operations Manager – LVS, the Junior Electrical Design Engineer will play a key role in creating accurate and production-ready electrical designs for switchboards and related products. You will work in close collaboration with sales teams to interpret client specifications, ensuring that drawings meet technical standards and are presented clearly for use in manufacturing. The role also involves supporting the Electrical Design Manager and Project Managers in maintaining and updating a comprehensive library of standard design drawings, collaborating with 2D and 3D design teams, and using AutoCAD for tagging and updates.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Candidates should have a solid understanding of electrical principles and circuit design. Experience in a switchgear production environment will be valued, even in lieu of a formal tertiary qualification. Familiarity with electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and AutoCAD is preferred. The ideal applicant will be methodical in approach, proficient in Microsoft Office tools, and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills within a team environment.
