Salary: The starting salary is £38,926, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.

The salary is broken down as £35,998 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £38,523. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

As a Junior Business Design Analyst you’ll leverage new technologies, varied datasets, and specialist operational knowledge to undertake detailed analytical activities to develop evidence‑based solutions to some of CTP’s most complex challenges. You’ll collaborate and build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders from across the public sector, playing a pivotal role in reacting and reshaping the country’s CT approach.

Where will you fit in the design team structure?

The Business Design practice has three levels of experience, with a focus on development and career progression. Entering as a Business Design Analyst, you will take the leading role on project design activity, line‑manage Junior Business Design Analyst(s) and be supported by Business Design Leads.

Joining this role will unlock opportunities within this team and across wider opportunities within Counter Terrorism Policing.

  • Entry - Junior Business Design Analyst (Band D)
  • Experienced – Business Design Analyst (Band C)
  • Senior – Business Design Lead (Band B)
What will be your key roles and responsibilities?
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to define organisational problems, design appropriate solutions, and determine the impact of both on CTP’s operating model
  • Support the translation of complex organisational problems and solutions into simple compelling narratives that achieve broad business consensus
  • Lead in the organisation of workshops, stakeholder engagement and other relevant meetings and boards
  • Proactively assist in maturing the business design practice, expanding your own and others’ skillset, providing assurance, and developing new approaches
