Join AECOM's Ground Engineering Team

AECOM Chesterfield, England, United Kingdom

We are seeking dynamic Geotechnical Engineers/Geologists of all levels to bring technical expertise and an innovative mindset to our Ground Engineering teams across the UK. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in delivering ground engineering projects in the UK and be fully conversant with the technical standards that apply.

We develop projects from concept through to operation, providing engineering and construction services for large-scale projects for major rail and transit agencies. Our specialists provide analytical and strategic expertise for every stage of a project.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver ground engineering projects in the UK across various sectors (Energy, Rail, Highways, Water, Development, Defence, Nuclear, Ports & Marine).
  • Lead and/or contribute to project teams, with responsibility for technical excellence and delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop solutions that meet project goals.
  • Travel throughout the UK as required to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications
  • Degree (BSc or MSc) in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related field.
  • Progress towards Chartered status is advantageous but not required; support is available to achieve chartered status.
  • Demonstrable understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical design; openness to new methods and innovations.
  • Proven leadership experience appropriate to your level, with ability to inspire and lead teams.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK.
  • Clean driving licence.
