Job Skills & Transitional Services Educator .60 FTE

The Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School is seeking an exceptional educator to teach and support high school students (grades 9–12) with IEPs as they develop job skills, career readiness, and independent living competencies through community-based learning. This position plays a key role in coordinating job placements, collaborating with school teams and families, and ensuring students are well-prepared for successful transitions to employment, further education, and adult life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction in employability, communication, and independent living skills.
  • Coordinate and supervise community-based job training experiences and internships.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, families, and community partners to support student success.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized transition goals and track student progress.
  • Partner with adult service agencies (e.g., HireAbility) to support postsecondary planning and long‑term transition needs.

Salary is commensurate with experience and aligned with the Mount Abraham Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement. The current salary range is $53,875–$101,878.

Job Requirements
