Overview
Job Title: IT Support Engineer
Location: Stockport, United Kingdom (On-Site Working)
Type: Permanent
Brief: Onsite Support (OSS) handles all IT hardware devices and supports all IT services on an NXP location. The scope of work includes maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, installing computer hardware, software, network, video conference rooms and providing hands-on support for global IT teams.
Responsibilities
- Work on incidents, service requests and assist VIP support and global IT teams with problems.
- Onboardings and off-boarding activities, remote support coordination, and inventory management.
- Networking support such as patching and debugging.
- Interact with end-users for requests and incidents and follow up via Teams or email.
- Hardware repair support including offer requests and data migration support.
- Printer support (toner/drum/wastebin replacement) and repair coordination (call vendor and support technician).
- Installing and decommissioning of hardware (laptops/servers/network/video conference equipment).
- Handling all IT waste disposal.
- Installation, transfer and decommissioning of servers and network equipment.
- Network support (patching and debugging).
- Support for global projects implemented at site level.
- Creation and review of knowledge base articles for end-users.
- Hardware and software support for non-standard devices (e.g., digital signage systems).
- Hardware and installation support for audio/video equipment in meeting rooms.
- Installation and maintenance of devices located in the server room.
- Meeting room/event support.
- Assist VIP support with local problems/topics.
Requirements
- Experience working on incidents and tasks in a ticketing system.
- Installation of new end-user devices and data migration support.
- Inventory and stock management.
- Remote support coordination and assistance with deployment and decommissioning.
- Installation, transfer and decommissioning of servers and network equipment.
- Network support (patching and debugging).
- Printer support (toner/drum/wastebin replacement).
- Support for global projects at site level.
- Creation and review of knowledge base articles for end-users.
- Hardware and software support for non-standard devices such as digital signage systems.
- Hardware and installation support for audio/video equipment in meeting rooms.
- Installation and maintenance of devices in the server room.
- Ability to work on-site in Stockport, United Kingdom.
