Responsibilities
- Installation and break/fix of PCs, notebooks and printers.
- Installation and troubleshooting of network devices and WiFi access points.
- Installation and break/fix of digital and VOIP telephony systems.
- Software support for Microsoft Windows, Office, Exchange and Active Directory.
- Escalating, updating and resolving tickets to team SLA.
- Working as part of a team during extensive site refurbishments.
- Providing weekly and ad hoc updates to head of the Field Team as appropriate.
- Documenting project work.
- Working with and supporting other IT teams such as remote support and 3rd line infrastructure on a day-to-day and ad hoc project basis.
- Maintaining a tidy and safe workspace.
- Other duties as required to support the IT daily function.
- Flexibility to travel across regional locations with cover and team support; occasional overnight stays away from home when necessary.
Skills & Experience
- Hardware experience with Intel-based desktops, laptops and servers (HP and Dell); capable of break/fix at component level; experience across Windows operating systems including Windows Server.
- Networking experience with DHCP, TCP/IP and DNS.
- Full, clean UK driving license held for a minimum of one year.
- Industrious and motivated with excellent communication skills.
- Customer-focused with ability to interact with people at various levels of technical ability.
- Ability to independently resolve a wide variety of complex problems using expertise and research capabilities.
- Experience working with third-party suppliers, on-site and off-site.
- Strong understanding of health and safety policy and procedures.
