About This Opportunity

We’re looking for an Investigation Officer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring that investigations across the Council are objective, thorough, and timely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations into HR matters including bullying, harassment, grievances, and disciplinary cases.
  • Investigate concerns raised under the whistleblowing and “Speak Up” policies.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive, and evidence‑based investigation reports with findings, recommendations, and learning outcomes.
  • Liaise with commissioning managers and stakeholders to provide updates and ensure transparency.
  • Arrange document retrieval, access records, and interview staff, customers, and witnesses.
  • Attend internal hearings, tribunals, or other proceedings to present reports and provide evidence.
  • Support organisational capability by mentoring new investigators and delivering training to ensure consistency and quality.
