This post will be set in the rapidly expanding respiratory department of this large teaching hospital. The fellows will be an integral part of the lung cancer team supported by five consultants, 2 interventional fellows (THIS POST), patient navigator, specialty nurses and an excellent administrative team. We are in the process of developing a new system that meets the National Optimal Lung Cancer Pathway (NOLCP), with access to same day radiograph and CT scans, and subsequent same day clinic and diagnostic sampling. There is a high volume of outpatient referrals and over 400 cases of lung cancer diagnosed each year. The fellows would be expected to attend NOLCP clinics, prepare and be a key contributor of the multidisciplinary meetings.
