MBDA develop some of the world's highest performing weapon systems. The Integration and Systems Validation (ISV) team is responsible for proving that the final product meets requirements and is suitable for use. ISV engineers lead real‑world test and integration across the product development lifecycle, including planning, lab testing, offsite trials and data analysis and reporting.

The opportunity

The Integration and System Validation (ISV) team assures MBDA and customers that the final product meets requirements and is suitable for use. ISV activities provide verification and validation evidence for missile programmes. ISV engineers work across software, hardware or full missile systems, leading tests across the development lifecycle, including planning, lab testing, trials offsite and data analysis and reporting.

  • Ground Trials: demonstrate products across environmental extremes
  • Firing Trials: end‑to‑end evaluation firings and customer demonstrations
  • Flight Trials: integrate and trial systems on fast jets and helicopters
  • Integration: demonstrate functional and electrical compatibility of hardware and software
  • In‑Service Support: test and monitor in‑service products with customers
  • Trials Equipment: design support tools and help evolve prototype designs

You may have opportunities to travel throughout the UK and internationally to support these activities.

What we’re looking for from you
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Physics, Mathematical Sciences, Technology, Computing or a General Science discipline to minimum 2:2
  • Practical and creative with the ability to work on complex problems and derive logical solutions
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles across mechanical, electrical and functional domains, and experience with test equipment and lab facilities
  • Strong team player with the ability to communicate across technical and non‑technical teams
  • Ability to plan tests and trials campaigns with adaptability, organisation, attention to detail and tolerance for ambiguity
  • Confident in processing, analysing and drawing conclusions from data, and in writing technical documentation
Security and eligibility

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. All successful candidates will need to undergo BPSS checks after offer stage, managed by MBDA’s Personnel Security Team. The role may require eligibility to work in the UK.
