Responsibilities

Join our inpatient team per diem!

The Social Worker counsels individuals and facilitates groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance abuse, or family situations and develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans in medical setting and works with the patient and family to create a discharge plan for the patient. Social Worker also uses therapeutic interventions to assist the patient in crisis situations. The Social Worker also participates in the multidisciplinary treatment team to discuss patient care, treatment plan goals and discharge planning.

Qualifications

Education: MSW (Master in Social Work) or BS (Bachelors in social work) or Masters in Counseling

Professional License: LSW or LISW or LPC

While previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility is preferred, we are willing to train a new graduate excited to learn.

This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required.
