DWP Digital – the Department for Work and Pensions – is building digital solutions that support payments worth over £195bn each year. The Enterprise Tooling Team delivers and maintains core IT services that keep these systems running.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Proven experience delivering and supporting infrastructure services across a hybrid server estate, including multiple Unix/Linux distributions, Windows Server and containerised platforms, using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Demonstrable communication skills at technical and business levels, with experience prioritising tasks, planning deliverables, and reporting to product and delivery managers.
  • Experience working within an ITIL framework, providing 2nd/3rd line support for incidents, problems and changes.
  • Track record of using diagnostic techniques to analyse and resolve issues, implementing new practices and modifying existing processes to improve performance.
  • Proven scripting ability in multiple languages for deployment or enhancement of Linux/Unix and Windows Server.
  • Ability to execute and improve CI/CD pipelines, and create new pipelines using Terraform and Ansible Automation Platform.
Benefits and Compensation

Pay: up to £52,442 per annum + 28.97% employer pension contributions.

Holidays: 26 days per year rising to 31 days over time, plus up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi‑time. Public holidays included.
