A leading IT company in Birmingham is seeking an Information Security Manager to ensure the security of information critical to its success. The role involves managing the information security team, supporting incident management, and ensuring compliance with standards like ISO27001. Candidates must possess a degree in Information Security and relevant certifications, along with proven leadership skills. This position offers a salary range of £60,000 - £70,000 and supports a hybrid working model with diverse benefits.

Role: Information Security Manager
Location: Birmingham (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Package: £60,000 - £70,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid‑for volunteering days a year
Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm, Monday – Friday
Interview Process: 2‑stage process
The security of information is critical to the ongoing success and reputation of the SCC. The role shall work closely with the CISO to ensure that technological & organisational security practices are in line with the requirement and spirit of standards such as ISO27001, CyberEssentials amongst many others industry specific standards. Duties shall include managing the information security function ensuring all business units are supported and guided to implement and maintain the technical security of systems and services consistent with SCC risk tolerance. Supporting the business with Security Incidents, managing through to remediation, reporting and driving changes where required.
Security clearance or the willingness to apply will be required for this role.
