Overview

As the Industrial Sustainability, Environment & Energy (ISEE) and Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with legal, environmental, energy, and health & safety standards at site level. You will support the implementation of Group and Regional guidelines, oversee performance, engage teams, and contribute to a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement. This dual-focus role supports regulatory compliance, reduces risk of business disruption, and drives strategic sustainability planning.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the site subject matter expert for Health & Safety and Environmental compliance, managing external regulatory relationships and internal communications.
  • Lead incident response, conduct investigations, define root causes, and track corrective actions.
  • Perform risk assessments, emergency response planning, and coach managers to embed a safety-first culture.
  • Manage local health and safety documentation and reporting, including metrics, audits, and inspections.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance for safety equipment, deliver training, and align site activities with safety goals.
  • Coordinate with external authorities during inspections and ensure licenses and regulatory documents are in order.
  • Oversee sustainability and environmental compliance across energy use, water, waste, emissions, and refrigerants.
  • Lead the site Masterplan for sustainability, ensure data collection and reporting, and provide updates to central teams in line with DOSEE requirements.
  • Report incidents or risks promptly and escalate as needed to protect operations and the environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing through Ferrero’s professional groups; support internal training programs on sustainability and safety.
  • Collaborate with procurement and project teams to embed HSE considerations in new equipment design, construction, and contractor selection.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in health & safety, environmental compliance, and industrial sustainability in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of UK regulations and standards related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Experience managing audits, investigations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret data and legislation, and drive site-level improvements.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, external authorities, and governance groups in a collaborative, solution-focused manner.
