Join our client‑friendly Neighbourhoods team as an Independent Living Officer, helping residents live safely, independently and confidently across several vibrant schemes.

Responsibilities
  • 💬 Build positive relationships with tenants
  • 📞 Make daily/weekly reassurance calls
  • 🆗 Check which tenants have pressed their "I'm OK" lifeline button and contact those who haven't to ensure their wellbeing
  • 🧭 Help residents sustain their tenancy and maintain independence
🏠 Scheme Safety & Compliance
  • 🔍 Carry out regular health & safety building checks
  • 🚨 Ensure telecare/lifeline systems are working correctly
🤝 Community & Partnership Working
  • 👮 Collaborate with Police, health services, social care, and voluntary groups
  • 🧭 Signpost tenants to helpful agencies and support services
  • 🏡 Manage voids to minimise empty property times
  • 🧹 Oversee cleaning, grounds maintenance, and contractor services
  • ⚖️ Address tenancy breaches, complaints, disputes, and ASB cases
✔️ What We Need from You
  • 🚗 Full driving licence + your own car
  • 🏘 Background in housing or related customer service roles
  • 🛠 Good understanding of building‑based Health & Safety
  • 🗣 Confident, clear, and empathetic communication skills

🔒 DBS: An Enhanced DBS is desirable. If you don’t have one, we’ll handle it – with a risk assessment and references from your last 2 employers.
