- Promote Health, Safety, and Operational Safety leadership for QTS Eastern Region teams and lead the H&S advice and data team, providing timely and accurate data across the business
- Be an active member of the HSQE team and assist the team to maintain full engagement in meeting business objectives
- Supervision and management of the HSQE Advisors in area of responsibility
- Supporting Operational Teams to maintain safe systems, providing specialist advice, coaching and practical support
- Maintaining and updating the HSQE systems as required by the company
- Identifying new and amended safety requirements and legislation
- Dissemination of safety information
- Carrying out Audits, Site inspections and Site Safety Conversations
- Undertake site and office audits of QTS and suppliers
- Attendance and participation in audits by clients and third parties
- Attendance of safety, quality or environmental related meetings with both QTS and Clients
- Lead and undertake investigation of accidents and incidents for QTS and in conjunction with clients requirements
- Encouraging and promoting Behavioural Safety and QTS Behavioural Science Programme, including H&S improvements
- Undertake any other duties as required by management, commensurate with the grade of the post
Skills Required
- Proven Rail Experience with a good understanding of railway process and procedures including railway standards
- Experience in HSQE and operational safety issues on major programmes of work in the construction and/or rail industries
- Valid PTS
- NEBOSH Certificate or higher
- IOSH membership (Certified working towards Chartered)
- Detailed knowledge of safety and operational issues
