Job summary

A leading care provider in the UK is looking for a Housing Officer to join their Supported Living team. This role involves assisting service users in housing needs while promoting independence. Salary: £32k - £35k DOE

Car allowance: £3600 P/A

Hours: 37.5 hrs

Working pattern: Mon – Fri – Field and home based – Flexibility needed

About the Role

Become a Housing Officer in our Supported Living team and empower people to live confidently in their own homes. You’ll assist with housing needs, promote independence, and work with service users and stakeholders to deliver holistic person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day housing needs, including tenancy management and maintenance.
  • Support service users to maintain tenancies and achieve personal goals using a housing plan.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular home visits to assess needs, provide support, check property condition, report repairs, and monitor well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as finances, benefits, community access, and life skills.
  • Collaborate with healthcare and social care professionals for comprehensive support.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of interactions, progress, and outcomes.
  • Identify and respond to risks, escalating issues to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Promote inclusivity, respect, and dignity through person-centred support.
  • Attend team meetings and training to develop skills and knowledge.
About you
  • Essential: Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Essential: Experience in specialist supported living or supported housing environment, preferably with vulnerable adults or individuals with complex needs.
  • Essential: Understanding of person-centred principles and the value of independence.
  • Essential: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Essential: Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Essential: Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Desirable: Qualification in a relevant field, such as social care, housing, or a related discipline.
  • Salary: up to £35,000 per annum
  • Flexibility: Hybrid working pattern
