Job Summary

Job Summary
Facilities Supervisors will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service on wards, departments and health centres, which includes catering, housekeeping, portering and laundry services. They will ensure our premises are prepared for service users at any time through leading their team. The role includes monitoring cleaning and catering standards in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic client environment in line with National Standards, ensuring our service users receive care in an environment that is clean, safe and welcoming at any time.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Control the quality of work produced, ensuring it meets the required National Standard.
  • Order, monitor and issue materials and stock items.
  • Carry out and organise periodic or one‑off duties such as deep cleans and stock monitoring.
  • Assist managers with recruitment, training, scheduling and other administrative tasks.
  • Deal with duties that may arise in an emergency or during staff shortages.
  • Support and deputise for other Facilities Supervisors across all Hotel Services disciplines.
  • Ensure a full understanding and appreciation of all facilities disciplines, working practices and procedures.Provide information and guidance to other Facilities Supervisors to ensure a consistent service.

Qualifications & Training
  • NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds Certificate in related Facilities and Estates discipline or proven practical knowledge and experience.
  • Experience of working in a similar role or discipline.
  • Suitable supervisory management qualification or comparable proven practical experience.
  • Experience of working in the NHS.
Experience
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations (e.g. COSHH, HACCP).
  • Experience of carrying out audits and monitoring.
  • Experience of completing and recording relevant documentation.
  • Experience planning work rots and training staff.
  • Full understanding of all areas of own discipline and Hotel Services disciplines.
  • Able to travel across the Trust.
