Overview

Job Title: Housekeeper
Department: Lodging
Reports To: Housekeeping Manager
Position Status: Full Time or Part Time, Seasonal or Year-Round
Date: Summer 2025
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - $18/hour

Job Summary

Join our housekeeping team! Both full-time and part-time positions are available. The Housekeeper is responsible for providing clean and comfortable surroundings for resort guests.

Essential Skills
  • Arrive on time as scheduled for all shifts - dependable and willing to work; flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays when needed.
  • Able to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Be on your feet and perform physically demanding tasks for the duration of the shift.
Essential Functions
  • Maintain the property in a clean, orderly and sanitary way through cleaning and caring for all rooms and common areas as assigned.
  • Adhere to property procedures and guest room/ suite cleaning standards; comply with safety regulations in handling cleaning solvents and chemicals.
  • Participate in weekly training to ensure adherence to cleaning standards.
  • Report needed repairs of rooms or common areas to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal area; move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, hang draperies, dust blinds, and polish metalwork to ready facilities for occupancy.
  • Deliver items to guest rooms on request.
  • Keep all workspaces clean and stocked; conduct common area cleaning duties.
  • Assist with employee housing move-ins and move-outs; perform additional tasks as needed. Examples include making beds, doing cots, laundry, etc., with seasonal variation based on operational needs.
Note

All Bolton Valley employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.

Employee is expected to be courteous and professional in accordance with Bolton’s commitment to providing superior customer service.

Qualifications

Entry level

Required Knowledge and Skills

Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers, and to read written instructions. A good understanding of guest expectations.

Physical and Mental Demands

Position involves lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs, as well as pushing and pulling heavy objects. The majority of work time is spent standing, walking, bending, pushing and pulling. Some stress may result from dealing with difficult guests.

Work Environment

Most work is performed inside, but some outside shoveling of hotel room balconies is required. Riding in and/or driving a Bolton vehicle may be required to access condos for cleaning.
