To support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards.
To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
Report to and work with the Facilities Team Leaders to implement all services, operational policies, procedures, schedules of work, safe systems of work, audit their implementation and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
Review working practices regularly to respond to legislation, internal and external influences such as Agenda for Change, the Working Time Directive, and Benchmarking, Health & Safety and employment legislation and new service developments.
Post holder will be required to perform supplementary duties to respond to service needs and that are appropriate to the Facilities services and in line with their banding.
The post holder will be expected to work at any of the Health Board sites and to fulfil any job allocated, commensurate with the banding.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short‑list‑ing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency ’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.

The post holder must keep the Hotel Services Team Leader advised on the service delivery performance and issues within the Hotel Services (Facilities) department on a regular basis relating to all areas within the remit of the role.
