Rate: £15.35 per hour

Hours: 35 per week (Full time)

Contract type: Permanent

As one of our Home Delivery Drivers, you will be a key ingredient in delivering everything our online customers shop for at Sainsbury’s.

Eligibility
  • You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
  • You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview, and if successful, there will be a driving assessment when you join us.
  • You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customer doorsteps on time and in good condition.
  • Completing checks to ensure the van is organised, clean, roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before driving safely in a variety of locations and conditions.
  • Serving customers brilliantly, supporting their questions and substitutions, and keeping them aware of any delays.
  • Building knowledge of our products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
  • When not making deliveries, helping across the store as needed.

  • Always ready to work flexibly and productively to a high standard across the store when needed—fully trained across a variety of skills, allowing learning, development and trying new things.
  • Comfortable learning to use new digital tools and technology to do your job brilliantly, and moving shopping containers up to 15 kg.
