Job summary

A major UK supermarket chain is seeking a delivery driver for their Warrington store. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering groceries to customers' doorsteps and providing excellent customer service. Candidates must be over 18 and hold a valid UK/EU driving license for at least 12 months. You'll also complete checks to ensure safety and organisation. This is a permanent position offering shifts 3 weeks in advance at £14.10 per hour for 16 hours per week.

Qualifications

The below shift pattern are the times in the week we would like you to be available to work. Your weekly hours will be scheduled 3 weeks in advance within these times.

  • Monday: 06:00 - 14:00
  • Tuesday: 06:00 - 14:00
  • Wednesday: 06:00 - 14:00
What you’ll be doing:
  • Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers' doorsteps, on time and in excellent condition.
  • Completing checks to ensure the van is organised, clean, roadworthy and delivery cases are secure before driving safely in various locations and conditions.
  • Serving customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and substitutions, and keeping them aware of any delays.
  • Building great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations.
  • When not making deliveries, helping across the store as needed.
Eligibility / Qualifications:
  • Must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
  • Must complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview and, if successful, attend a driving assessment when you join us.
  • Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
