Pay and Benefits

Hourly rate £13.26 - £13.47 | 45p/mile mileage | 26.5 days holiday pro rata (29.5 days for 5+ years of service) | 8 days bank holiday entitlement | Work pension available | Various staff discounts and benefits available.

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with individuals to understand and empower their voice. Contribute to and follow individual care plans, monitoring needs and implementing activities. Use specialist equipment and follow movement and handling plans. Carry out accurate administrative duties and comply with the council’s medicines code of practice. Respond promptly to emergency situations and use professional judgement. Attend mandatory training and complete the QCF Level 2 qualification. Safeguard children and vulnerable adults, report concerns, and manage information in accordance with data protection and council policies.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential: Sensitive, dedicated, honest, reliable, good interpersonal and communication skills, understanding of care principles, valid driving licence, QCF Level 2 NVQ care (or equivalent) or practical experience within a professional team, health and safety training, and commitment to continuous professional development. Desirable: Training in health and safety, moving and handling, first aid, relevant experience caring for or working with vulnerable adults and domestic work, awareness of specific health conditions, and knowledge of relevant standards and regulations. Language: Intermediate listening, speaking and reading in Welsh and English; writing in Welsh and English.
