A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to join our team at St Michael's CofE VA Junior School. This is a permanent post, 5 days per week, 38 weeks per year plus 1 INSET Day.

This position is initially fixed until 31 August 2026.

Required as soon as possible

Pay: Scale 6 pt 13-17 depending on experience £19,750.83‑£21,081.41 (FTE: £29,064‑£31,022) Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm (30 hours per week)

As part of this HLTA position you will be expected to also undertake 30 minutes of Midday duties every day during the lunch hours from 12.15pm to 1.15pm, which will be contracted on a separate MDA contract.

As an HLTA you will be expected to teach once every week in one specific year group as well as cover lessons, when needed.

  • educated to GCSE 9-4 (or equivalent) or above in English and Maths
  • have extensive prior experience as an LSA in a primary school
  • hold the HLTA qualification or be qualified by experience
