Are you an experienced Hiab Grab Driver seeking longevity of work? GCU, a successful contractor in the Utilities, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, and Traffic Management sectors, is looking for a talented person to join our team covering Inverness and the Highlands. As a Grab Driver with us, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our utilities gangs working on new fibre broadband networks.

Responsibilities
  • Transport aggregates and materials and support site staff with material couriering and collection.
  • Safely remove and dispose of spoil and waste materials while collaborating closely with planning, management, and on-site teams.
  • Demonstrate expertise in maneuvering vehicles in tight utility sites and operate in strict compliance with sector procedures and regulations.
  • Perform daily operational checks on your vehicle to maintain reliability and safety.
Qualifications
  • Experience and qualifications as a Hiab Grab Driver with the appropriate license to operate a Hiab Grab Truck.
  • Previous experience in a Utilities or Telecommunications environment is essential, with knowledge of Chapter 8 requirements.
  • While an NRSWA Operative ticket is desirable, the ability to operate effectively and safely in compliance with industry standards is key.
Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided to candidates from outside the Inverness and Highlands area.
