Qualifications

  • Must be a qualified HGV Technician.
  • Previous experience in a similar industry required.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and ideally HGV Licence essential.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out service, repair and maintenance work on commercial vehicles.
  • Liaise with the Workshop Controller for customer service.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately.

We have a fantastic opportunity for HGV Technician at our VMU Depot based within Iceland Distribution Centre, to join the Sparks Team. You will be a key member of our operation, the role is to carry out all aspects of service, repair and maintenance work on all commercial vehicles that are booked into the workshop. You will liaise with the Workshop Controller to ensure the best customer service for our client. We are looking for a candidate with enthusiasm and a dynamic personality who will share our energy and passion and contribute to our ongoing success. Duties will include:

  • Vehicle inspection
  • Repair of vehicle defects
  • Road test vehicles
  • MOT preparation/presentation.
  • Completion of all required paperwork accurately

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three of equivalent)
  • Have previous relevant experience gained in a similar industry
  • Have a full driving licence.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and ideally HGV Licence
  • Have a good attitude to work at all times
  • Previous experience working with the Commercial Vehicle sector

Shifts available – earlies, days, lates and nights

Competitive rates of pay depending on shift, hours and experience
