Qualifications

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Architectural Conservation, Historic Buildings, Archaeology, or a related field.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
• IHBC membership (or working towards it) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Statements of Significance and Need.
• Support site visits, inspections, and fabric documentation.
• Conduct desk-based historic research using maps and archives.
• Draft planning documents and statutory forms.
• Collaborate with local authorities and heritage professionals.

Skills

Knowledge of historic buildings and conservation issues

Report writing and archival research

Excellent English communication skills

Familiarity with Statements of Significance

Ability to assist in site inspections

Organized and methodical

Team-oriented

IHBC membership (desirable)
