Job summary

A global engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their UK Healthcare team. The role involves delivering innovative solutions in healthcare projects, managing multiple design aspects, and collaborating with various engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will need strong experience in the UK healthcare sector, preferably with hospitals, along with a relevant degree and project management skills. Flexible working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience with UK healthcare sector projects like hospitals.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
  • Achieved Chartered Engineer status or qualifications to attain it.
  • Excellent project management skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size/complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and agree structural concepts and design philosophies.
  • Undertake design work from concept to detailed design.
  • Work within a team of Structural Engineers across disciplines.
  • Carry out structural design, analysis, and FEM modelling.
  • Communicate designs to team members and construction sites.

Skills

Experience with UK Healthcare sector projects
Project management skills
Communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects
Understanding of digital design

Education

Degree in relevant engineering discipline
Chartered Engineer status or equivalent qualifications
