Job summary

A local care service provider in Oxfordshire is seeking a Care Assistant to support clients in regaining independence after hospital discharge. Job description

Salary: £28,600.00 per year**

Hours: 40 hours per week, alternate weekends.

Location: Oxfordshire area, mainly Cherwell (UK)

Requirements: Access to a car, driving licence, and ability to work alternate weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Having the confidence to complete assessments with new clients following discharge from hospital
  • Supporting clients to regain independence with tasks, such as personal care, toileting, meal preparation and medication
  • Recording and reporting changes clearly and concisely, keeping the Home First team updated on improvements in abilities allowing ongoing assessment of the suitability of the proposed care
  • Building strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and the Home First team
  • Being adaptive and responsive to changes in needs
