Priory Hospital Cardiff

Priory Hospital Cardiff is looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants to join their team. This is a full time role.

Shift Pattern

The shifts are 12 hours on a rota basis to include nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Shift times would be:

Day Shift = 07:30 > 19:45

Night Shift = 19:30 > 07:45

Staff will work a set shift pattern, such as:

Week 1 = Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday

Week 2 = Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Salary

£26201.86 per annum

Location & Services

Located just a few miles outside Cardiff, South Wales, Priory Hospital Cardiff supports the NHS by offering low secure services for people with a personality disorder, a learning disability or a mental health diagnosis. Care is provided across three bespoke therapeutic placements (BTPs), each offering specialist, tailored treatment in the least restrictive environment possible.

What you’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Healthcare Assistant you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

A summary of Health Care Worker responsibilities are below;

Observe and monitor the wellbeing of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.

Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
